Is It Ever Gonna Stop Raining?

Hello all, it's been a long time. Life gets busy, but the question is what are you getting out of it? My dad's lung cancer is still here, the tumor has shrunk from the size of a baseball to the size of a golf ball. Chemotherapy helped and he looks good, but for someone who has not seen him in a while, it would be a shock. His body couldn't handle radiation.

We are now waiting for his new chemotherapy. It's in pill form, crazy!  It supposedly attacks just the cancerous cells, and has less side effects. The picture was taken, by Owen, in February 2009. My dad just celebrated his 72nd Birthday in May. Needless to say, the battle has been a good one, he's still here with us, but it's a battle none the less.

I live in "SUNNY", Jacksonville, Florida and it has been raining since Monday, May 18th it's now Friday the 22nd, I now know that I couldn't live in Seattle! Never been there and I'm sure it would be nice to visit, but I need sun and "hurricanes"! It is not supposed to stop until Tuesday, May 26th.

My kids that have been poked in the house for 3 days, what? you want milk? forget it! we don't have any, we'll get it later!! We have gone out sparingly, but it will be nice to let them get out in the back yard and play. But most of all I miss taking my dad and Owen golfing on Wednesdays. We go pick up Granddad and the two of them head for the golf course and Ava and I head for the nearby park. My dad doesn't drive anymore since he ran over one of the neighbors mail box. That was not a good day. I thanked God that it was not as bad as it could have been. He blacked out for a second, ran over a mail box then drove over another curb heading for another mail box. The drop off of the second curb woke him up. No one got hurt and it turns out the house was vacant so putting the mail box back up that day was not imperative.

Just when I thought, "OK, I can relax now" I hear a thud in the garage. Dad went down again. His blood pressure had been very erratic, high and low, in one day it can go from 75 to 143. So after the second blackout, we called his heart specialist, they suggested going to the ER. Off we went to the Orange Park Emergency Room. After a 4 hour wait, we finally got in to be seen by the doctor. He was admitted to the hospital and every test that the doctors ran came back negative or normal. He was released on Mother's Day, and is scheduled for a special blood pressure test for June 2nd at a different hospital.

I believe that God has made it rain to make me slow down. My busy, crazy, nonstop life needed to slow down. I need to refocus and re-energize my batteries. I go and go, my husband calls me the energizer bunny, but even the energizer bunny needs to freshen his batteries from time to time. I hope that you take a step back from your everyday life and slow down. I have a great family, great friends and I thank God for everything in my life, the good, the bad, and the ugly. I am grateful for my home based business too, because I can work when I can and not feel pressured when I can't at times like these.

Many Blessing,

What Would You Do With This News?

I have not posted in a while and here is why. On November 4th, 2008, my dad, Ed Evans, was diagnosed with Lung Cancer. It is in stage 4 but the oncologist, my dad, mom and I are confident we can get it into remission. Talk about a life changing piece of news. So needless to say it has been a little crazy around here. I have 5 older siblings, but I am the one that lives the closest to my parents, and some of my siblings have taken the news harder than me. The relationships we have with people, regardless if they are family or not, can play a major roll in how someone might respond to news of this magnitude.

So let me share with you this. When I tell my friends about my dad, the first thing out of their mouth is "Oh, I am so sorry." I think to myself, wow whenever people here the word "cancer" they automatically think the worst possible out come, death. Don't get me wrong, it is not good news, but I refuse to believe that all is lost. This is where my Faith comes in. Now you might not be religious, but with all the testing leading up to the final diagnosis, my faith in God helped me. So when my parents told me it was cancer, my first thought was "OK, what do we need to do to beat it?" My dad wants to fight and beat this so that is step number one. He tells everyone "I'm not sick, I just have cancer."

There are no accidents in life, and before the diagnosis was made, I had a retreat at my church. It is called CHRP Weekend. I had known about the retreat for some time but did not decide to attend until the night before. I kept hearing this voice tell me to go, I ignored it as much as I could but Friday night it was so loud. I said to my husband, I need to go and do this, I can't tell you why, I just need to go. So at 8PM that evening I called Melodie, and I said I will be there tomorrow morning. This was the weekend of October 18/19. My Uncle Eric died on October 18, 2008 from lung cancer, my dad and Uncle Eric shared the same birthday.

I arrived Saturday morning at 8AM and when I arrived, I was greeted by warm smiles, open arms and then they asked for my cell phone and watch. I was no longer on my time, but God's time. You might think, you could not give up those things, but the whole experience was amazing. There were seventeen other ladies going through the experience with me and one of the ladies at my table is an oncologist. You might not believe in God or have faith, but why do you think two weeks before the diagnosis of my dad's lung cancer, I met and bonded with another woman at this special weekend, renewing my faith in God, who just happens to be the type of doctor my father needs? I learned to let go and let God.

As far as I am concerned, there are no coincidents, accidents, or freaky holy shit moments. Everything happens for a reason, but we do not always know why. The possibility of my dad dying is real and my relationship with my dad is incredible. When he goes, hopefully it is in 2-10 years, he will be joining our Holy Father and will be at peace. Dying is apart of living and for now it is a day by day event. Live like you were dying has a whole new meaning.

The biggest reason my dad is fighting is his grandkids. My son, Owen (who will be 4 next month) wants to turn his room into a doctors office so granddad can come and stay and get better. My daughter, Ava (who will be 3 in January) thinks that granddad's cough comes from his feet and she says we need to make granddad's feet better. Owen and Ava are grandkids number 10 & 11. Since we live the closest to Granddad and Grandma we get to see them all of the time. Owen and my dad have a special bond no one will ever understand and for that I am grateful.

As for my home based business and Mentoring For Free, I am thankful for having them. I can work when I can and help my dad and mom whenever they need it. I am also thankful for my mentor Rob Kenyon. He has been a great support to me and my family. Rob has helped me in so many ways, words could never express just how special he is to me. He is a true friend, everyone should have a Rob Kenyon in their lives. I have been surrounded by support, prayers, and unconditional love and this is essential in keeping my faith growing and strong.

It is going to be a battle every step of the way and we are all prepared to fight. There are going to be good days and bad days but every day is a blessing. I hope you will think about the relationships you have with your family and friends. Are you the Rob Kenyon someone needs or are you the Bridget Lee that is blessed with unconditional love from all of your relationships? Maybe you are both? If it was not for my faith in God, my family and my friends this would be much more difficult to deal with. My husband, Mike, has been through this experience with his father. Mike's dad died of colon cancer in 1995, so it is comforting to me that he has an idea of what might be expected. My dad had his first round of chemotherapy and radiation yesterday so from here on out, hopefully it will be good news to post.

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and to all that celebrate it have an extra special day. Be thankful for every day you have with your loved ones. Try to make each and every day a blessing, even if you think that it is a day from hell. God's grace is there, you just need to look for it. God's grace could be as small and simple as a smile from a stranger when you feel stressed out from your daily grind.

With our feet on earth and our hearts in heaven, God Bless,
Bridget Lee

Love Affair With My MailBox

How can you have a love affair with a mailbox? Sounds silly, I know, but I love my mailbox because every week I get a check in it! It is called Mailbox Money!

I am not bragging by any means, I just wanted you to know that I am a stay at home mom of two and instead of rushing to get ready for work, hearing my husband complain I used all of the hot water again, then getting the kids up and ready, packing up the kids stuff for the day, kissing my husband good bye, dropping the kids of at daycare and then going into the office everyday, wow I'm tired just writing that sentence! Ladies and gentlemen, I give you much respect for doing that, day in and day out.

Instead, my husband kisses me goodbye, then I get up when my daughter, Ava, says "Good morning mommy, time to get up!"(she's almost 3) then I mosey into my kitchen, to find my son Owen, in the fridge getting his chocolate milk cup (he's almost 4), then I get the kids breakfast, turn on their favorite cartoons, grab a cup of joe, sit down and check my emails while the kids eat breakfast, usually still in my pj's. Then I go on about my day and fit in my "work" schedule around my day of what needs to get done. Multilevel marketing is so versatile that it can be done while I'm out grocery shopping, buying new shoes for the kids, or at home on the computer. So my question to you is this...

How does your mailbox treat you? Does it only have bills in it, past due notices or do you sometimes get a check once a month? I am not a Rock Star, a famous Author, an extremely talented Athlete, instead, I am a stay at home mom with a home based business. Also, I have found an amazing, duplicatable system to use. It's called, Mentoring For Free, the best part is you can use this system to enhance your business, regardless of company affiliation.

When you plug into the system, you get a free ebook "Success in 10 Steps," by Michael Dlouhy. He is the founder of Mentoring For Free and my personal friend and mentor. Not to mention, he has over 30 years in the trenches experience building an organization. You also get access to 10 FREE training's a week. These training's cover, advertising, marketing, personal development, the list goes on. The best part is they are completely generic. No companies or products are mentioned or promoted, ever!

MFF is available to anyone and everyone. Learn the right skill sets to expand your business, have access to free coaching, an endless support system, and much more. I have grown in my personal and business life! This has by far been the best decision I have made to become part of the MFF family. There is no judgement among these brilliant people, just love, support and encouragement.

I pose this question to you, would you like to have a love affair with your mailbox? You might not be a Rock Star, or a famous Author, or be an incredibly talented Athlete either but you can have a royalty check every week or month. If you are coachable, willing to work, learn the duplicatable MFF system, and want a weekly or monthly check that keeps increasing, then download your free copy of Michael Dlouhy's book "Success in 10 Steps" now. It's later than you think! Plug into this incredible system, get your business on a rock solid foundation and build it with ease and consistency! Have an amazing business building day!

What Is Your FREEDOM Factor?

What kind of question is that? Freedom Factor? What is it and what does it mean?

Well if you are not aware of the Freedom Factor, let me explain. This is when you are financially free. You are living your desired lifestyle and can do whatever you want, whenever you want and with whomever you want! Wow, sound good?

Let's take the Freedom Factor Quiz!

1. When would you like to be financially free?
A. In one year
B. In two years
C. In five years
D In ten years

Awesome. What is your plan to achieve this goal?

2. How much money do you need monthly to be financially free?
A. $1,000
B. $2,000
C. $5,000
D. $10,000

Awesome. What is you plan to receive this monthly income?

3. Multiply you answer from Question 2 by 200. This is the amount you need to invest at a 6% interest rate to receive your desired monthly income.

Awesome. What is your plan to accumulate this money?

Let me give you an example.

If you answered B (In two years) to question 1
Plan to achieve goal-It hasn't hit me yet!
If you answered C ($5000) to question 2
Plan to receive monthly income-I have no idea! Work overtime, maybe?
The answer to question 3 is $1,000,000
Plan to accumulate this money-What do I need? One Million Dollars!?! Let me pick myself up off of the floor!

So how does this make you feel? Have you really thought about how you are going to retire or be that stay at home parent that you would like to be or take 6 month vacations twice a year?

I have come across an amazing magazine called Freedom Magazine (pictured at top) and I would be more than happy to share it with you. I can send one to you at no cost, and we can go through it together. In there it has the Freedom Factor Quiz and much, much more. Contact me and I will get it to you. With the economy in the state that it is, you can determine your Freedom Factor and make it a reality. Have a glorious day!

Take care,

Hard Economic Times --What To Do?

Wow, yesterday was interesting, at least for me anyway. Let me give you a quick picture of my life yesterday and why I am so happy about having my own home business.

Yesterday, my dad had to have some tests done, when you reach the age of 71, it's just routine. So on Sunday I talked to my mom and I was going to go with her to wait, but my grandmother, who is 89 years young, was sick. My husband took the day off and had fun with the kids, so I went to grandma sit instead of with my mom to the hospital. Why am I sharing this with you, I'll get to the point.

Eventhough, I was not at home yesterday I was able to work. How cool is that? For me I think that is awesome. Now with extremely high gas prices, an economic hardship on it's way, the uncertainty of the stock market, and unemployment on the rise what are we to do? How are people going to supplement their income just to keep up with the out put of every month?

Most people will search for alternative solutions for the problems that they might face. So what are some solutions for potential problems? Find a second job? Wait, that might be too hard because jobs are scarce and some companies might have difficulty paying their employees. Start your own business? Hold on here, banks are going under so would it be easy to get a loan? Maybe not. So that leads us to Network Marketing or Multi Level Marketing. This is one of the easiest and cheapest forms of starting your own business from home.

Now people might start to look a little bit more seriously at this being the best solution to their potential financial problem. Now please do me a huge favor, DO NOT GO WITH THE FIRST COMPANY THAT PROMISES THE WORLD TO YOU! Please get educated about the industry and learn what to look for in choosing the right company. Except nothing less than a 5 Pillar company. Not educating your self is the quickest way of losing lots of money.

Here's why. Most companies are untruthful about what is really required when you get started. They are equipped with great, enthusiastic, well thought out "scripts" to read to you or memorize. These scripts are designed to get you fired up, the blood pumping, and making a decision right then and there on the spot. Now they have you on the hook! After you pay the initial start up cost of, let's say it's $399, then they tell you about all of the "Add Ons." Wait a minute, add ons? Yes add ons, so after you send the $399 then they hit you with: you need a website and that costs $50 a month, you need a merchant account and that cost varies month to month anywhere from $100 a month, then lets see you need to have lots of product, so you can "Buy" your bonus check at the end of the month and that will cost anywhere from $2000-$4000, but of course you get a 50% discount so actually it is only $1000-$2000! Oh, let's not for get about advertising. You need to buy leads and that is anywhere from $500-$1500 a month. Cha ching-let's recap:

$399- Initial Start Up
$50 (monthly fee)- Web Site
$100 (average monthly fee)- Merchant Account
$2000 (front end load-want biggest bonus check)- Product
$1000 (mid budget-monthly fee)- Advertising
---------
$3549- Grand Total

Wow, can you imagine? Here you thought, great I have my own business and it has a start up cost of only $399! I am sharing this with you so you can AVOID THE MISTAKE I ALREADY MADE! I was set up for failure before I even paid the initial start up cost.

There is good news, I found Mentoring For Free! I found a group of amazing people that helped me get educated! The best part is it is totally and completely FREE! I downloaded an incredible Free ebook called "Success in 10 Steps" by Michael Dlouhy. Reading this book made me realize that I was not as educated as I thought I was. I learned what a 5 Pillar company is and why it is crucial to be apart of one. Not to mention all of the training MFF provides is FREE! Why not get educated first, learn some skills, and then invest in yourself, so you will be armed against the "not so upfront" companies out there. I wish you the best in life.

Are You Part of a Team?

Have you ever been part of a team? I have been part of teams before in the past but let me tell you the team I am apart of now is nothing short of Brilliant, Amazing, Loving, Helpful, Giving, Caring, ok you get the picture. I can go on and on about how being part of a team is awesome, but this is no ordinary TEAM.

I belong to Mentoring For Free. MFF is the team I described above and much, much more. If you want success in your life and you have tried everything you possibly can think to get it, and you know you are meant for it, but have failed? Then I have decided to share my team with you. If, and only if you truly want to make your life successful.

You see, most people are content with what they have, and that is great. But...let me share a story with you that a dear friend shared with me. It is about two kinds of people in the world

1-Darn, I wish I had

Let me share an example of how different they are:

Darn and Gee were working together at the same office with the same job. One day, tired and frustrated Gee said "you know what Darn, we should start our own business?" Darn said "What do you mean? It is too expensive to start a business, I am already away from my family too much now as it is, and the risk is just too great. I HAVE to have a pay check to pay the bills and put food on the table. I just don't see how starting a business would work."

Gee looked at Darn and said "Well, I see but I HAVE to do this. I want More time with my family and I want My bills paid and eat Wherever I want." So Gee went on and started his business. Yes, it was a struggle at first, but Gee kept at it and grew his business beyond his wildest dreams.

One day Gee was driving with his family, in their brand new Acura MDX SUV and Gee saw Darn with his family. Darn looked at his family, then looked back at Gee. Then he said "Darn, I wish I had." Gee looked at his gorgeous wife, smiling at him. Then he looked in the back seat at his two beautiful children and the family dog, Duke. He then smiled and said "Gee, I'm glad I did."

Now, would it make sense to hang around the "Gee" type of people or the "Darn" type of people? The Darn, I wish I had are the people that let things pass them by. They say "Wow, I could not do that. Gee is so lucky, everything he wants just happens for him." Where as the "Gee" people make things happen and keep going until it becomes reality.

Why am I sharing this story with you? Because MFF is "Gee, I'm glad I did." Here is what I can promise you, if you are coachable and willing to work, then I can help you own your life. Have FREEDOM! Do what you want, when you want, where you want, how you want to do it.

Your Friend,
Bridget Lee

My Weight Loss Story

What is Stopping You From Changing Your Body?

I asked myself this question about 2 years ago. After being pregnant for 2 years in a row, I looked in the mirror one day and I could not recognize myself. I was wondering just who was that person looking back at me?

I then realized, it was me. I was completely devastated with what I saw. Instead of making a choice to continue with what I was doing, I decided to do something about it. The question I asked myself, "What is stopping you from changing your body?"

The answer was quite clear. ME! At that moment I made the decision to change my body. I did it by changing my lifestyle. I changed how I ate, I exercised, and made MYSELF A PRIORITY! I realized that was not a selfish act, it was the best thing for me because I want to be around when my children have children.

I have lost 20 LBS and 23 INCHES! Let me tell you, the feeling you get when you put on clothes and they fall off is indescribable. I actually enjoy shopping again. I now try on size 6 - 8, wow!

I don't work out as much as I would like to, at least in a gym. I get my exercise by chasing my toddlers, they never stop. I did find some sensational, very adaptable products to assist my lifestyle. The Appetizer Diet® Shake and Cookie. They have made me healthier and happier. Healthier because they are made with the highest quality ingredients. They are top notch products with a low price, a lot of times it is tough to find high quality products without paying big bucks. Happier because I can eat COOKIES and still lose weight and my kids really, really like them!

It's not rocket science, it's making better choices for your lifestyle. If you have decided to make a change to your lifestyle go for it! I will be here for you and support you every step of the way. Life is what YOU make it, so MAKE YOURSELF A PRIORITY. You will be glad you did, I promise.
